What a child writes in lesson answers, reflections and study buddy messages is automatically screened for signs that they may be distressed or unsafe. If something is flagged, it is shown privately to the parent or carer on their dashboard, along with the child's own words. Serious flags also trigger an email to the parent. Nothing is shared outside the family account.
The child is never accused, blocked or shown a warning; their lesson continues as normal. If a child writes something suggesting immediate risk, the study buddy responds warmly and encourages them to speak to a trusted adult. YoungThinkr is a learning platform, not a monitoring or crisis service, and this screening cannot catch everything.
